What’s the first thing that pops into your head when someone says Pilates?
Perfectly coordinated active wear? People effortlessly gliding around on a reformer like they’ve been doing it since birth? Somehow engaging 17 muscles you’ve never even heard of?
Purpose Pilates is a little different.
Because while Pilates can absolutely make you stronger, fitter and more mobile, that’s not actually why we’re here.
We’re here to help you move with purpose.
Every body belongs.
If you’ve ever thought: “I’m not fit enough”, “I’m not flexible enough”, I”’ll join once I’ve lost a few kilos”, “Everyone there will know what they’re doing.”
We’d love to prove you wrong. Because at Purpose, there are no “Pilates people.”
There are just people.
People recovering from injuries, people training for marathons, people who sit at a desk all day, parents, grandparents, tradies, students, shift workers, athletes, absolute beginners.
If you have a body, you’re in the right place.
We don’t expect you to know Pilates.
Seriously.
You don’t need to know what “neutral pelvis” means. You don’t need to know how to engage your core. You definitely don’t need to pretend you know what everyone else is doing.
That’s our job.
Our instructors guide you through every movement, every step of the way, with options and modifications already built into every class. No feeling behind. No pressure to keep up.
Move your way.
No two bodies move the same and we think that’s exactly how it should be.
Whether you’re living with pain, managing an injury, navigating pregnancy or menopause, building strength, improving balance, or simply wanting to move more -you’ll never be expected to fit into one version of Pilates.
We’ll adapt to you.
Not the other way around.
